The quality of the show continues to go up, and this was evidenced by the quality of attendees. We had tons of great conversations and demos with both integrators and end users. In fact, this was our best show yet!
Check out some footage from this year’s show!
Highlights from the show:
There is growing respect for content as it pertains to the end user or customer experience. This is true for digital signage deployments and larger AV projects. Digital signage content and its sustainability was a recurring theme in many of the conversations we had. This was also reflected in exhibitor booths – creative on their screens was effective in selling the visual capabilities and providing use-case context. Being a content-rich digital signage provider, this was exciting for us. Integrators and end-users now “get” design thinking i.e. thinking about the end user or customer when making strategic decisions during the design and development process.
There was also lots of digital signage partnerships between vendors. Hardware (media players and screens) vendors featured CMS partners at their booths and vice versa. BrightSign, Philips, Crestron, and NEC are a few of the many vendors that did this. At the Mvix booth, we had demos of how our software works with BrightSign, Chromebox (AOPEN & ASUS), LG SoC screens and Android players. This is in addition to a Manufacturer’s Training Session we taught on how to use the Mvix software with different players. We also showcased our partnership with Mimo and BrightSign for meeting room signs. Data analytics systems such as AdMobilize also showcased how they worked with digital signage software & hardware folks to measure the effects and ROI of digital signage.
There was a lot of collaboration tech that run the gamut from audio-visual technology, telephony, audio conferencing, web conferencing, video conferencing, unified messaging, instant messaging, digital signage, and meeting room signs to data analytics systems. There’s a good reason for the popularity of these solutions. Many organizations are in the midst of cultural transitions when it comes to how they work and meet. Companies are shifting to open office space and the current and future generations of employees have grown up with an expectation for collaboration. They expect to be able to connect easily and share information from any device.
