When it comes to technology, school’s are one of the biggest markets for early adoption to new applications Romeo Schools were no different.
As a school system, they pride themselves on keeping up with the times in this digital age. Once they found out about digital signage, they quickly got to researching potential solutions.
Romeo Schools is a community of 9 individual schools that have existed in their district for over 150 years.
Keeping this in mind, they began searching for a digital signage solution. They focused on finding one that allowed remote updating, let them upload and schedule their customized content, and offered solutions that they could use in their hallways, lobbies, and cafeteria.
Just like adopting any other technology, the initial adjustment was the hardest.
Luckily, Mvix offers training by our certified and professional tech team for client’s to help them get the most out of the software.
Another forgotten aspect of managing digital signage is who exactly will be updating the content.
Thankfully, Romeo Schools assigned several staff members with this role. Moreover, this helps with keeping both multiple staff members trained in the software, but also makes it so there isn’t a single point of failure.
Deployment & Usage
One of the biggest benefits of utilizing Mvix are the content rich apps available through Mvix.
In their cafeterias, they deployed digital menu boards that can be updated and scheduled remotely.
On their other displays, they uploaded important CDC guidelines, reports, school awards and projects, weather, and more!
Why It Worked
Like most other education facilities, Romeo Schools was hoping for a way to engage and inform their students who are now fully in the digital age.
Staff have now come to realize that students rely on these screens for important information which matches our research that shows 96% of students notice digital signs and, more importantly, remember the messages on these displays.
Aside from the communication aspect, Romeo Schools also use their digital signage to entertain students. This can help both recognize important awards or student art making students feel more involved.
