Groups and Tags are two methods of sorting and filtering content. Tags are more simplistic. One piece of content can have more than one Tag applied. In contrast, Groups are more feature rich and can have broader implications. However, content can only be in one group at a time.
What You’ll Need
Filtering Groups and Tags
- Content can only have one group applied at a time.
- Used to manage permissions
Broad categories can be specific departments like human resources, accounting, etc.
- Content can have multiple tags applied at the same time
- Does not manage permissions.
Categories can be narrowed down for menu items like food, drink, etc.
